ELECTRONICS ENGINEER

Summary/Objective
Lyman Products Corp. is looking for an Electronics Engineer with solid firmware development skills to help develop cost-effective, reliable, custom solutions in our automated products division. This position will support the design, development, and qualification of consumer and industrial equipment by using rapid iteration methods. Ideal candidates should have the ability to work in a fast paced and demanding startup type environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Read and understand electronic schematics and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of industrial automation practices and standards
- Custom MCU development and programming
- C, C++, Python, device firmware, embedded systems, ladder logic
- Familiarity with ARM based processors.
- PLC programming and implementation
- Familiarity with motion control systems, including servos and steppers.
- Sensor integration
- HMI integration
- Create testing procedures and maintenance for electronic equipment and components
- Knowledge of PCB & hardware design a plus
- Familiarity with IAR Workbench a plus.
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. or higher in Electronics Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of demonstrated product design and development experience in electro-mechanical products.
- Project management experience with a strong drive for results and clear accountability for successful and timely completion of designated tasks and projects
- Knowledge and experience with supplier management.
- Must possess excellent communication (oral and written), project and time management skills.
- Some Travel required.
- Firearm and Accessory experience along with a knowledge of the shooting sports industry preferred.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position, Days and hours of work week are Monday through Friday, 7:30am – 4:30p.m (1st shift).
Working Conditions
This position does require Safety Glasses for personal protective equipment. MUST CHECK AND USE POSTED PPE FOR SPECIFIC TASK – POSTED IN JOB AREA
This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This position requires standing for extended periods of time.
